This study assesses food fraud vulnerabilities in the UK’s post-harvest seafood supply chain, using the SSAFE vulnerability assessment tool. Findings indicate medium vulnerability, especially in prawn and salmon supply chains, with the food service industry and uncertified suppliers being most at risk. The study recommends strengthened controls and transparency to mitigate fraud risks, given the economic and health impacts associated with seafood fraud.
