This study explores the role of farmers’ markets (FMs) in enhancing food system resilience through qualitative data from nine members of the World Farmers’ Market Coalition. Findings highlight FMs as critical actors in short supply chains, promoting local economic development, food security, and social cohesion. Their adaptability and innovative governance support resilience but require tailored policies to scale up successes. The study recommends leveraging FMs' unique features to transition toward more resilient food systems.
