This UNICEF report provides the first comprehensive statistical profile of nearly 21 million children with disabilities in the Middle East and North Africa. Drawing on Multiple Indicator Cluster Surveys (MICS) and other national datasets, it assesses education, health, nutrition, protection, and social inclusion outcomes. Findings reveal significant exclusion and underestimation of prevalence due to historical data gaps. The report introduces the Child Functioning Module as a standardized tool for collecting comparable disability data. It calls for inclusive policies, improved accessibility, and investment in disability-sensitive services to ensure equal opportunities for children with disabilities.
